Conveniently located on the west end of Kenmount Road, we offer quality musical instruction for all skill levels on a variety of instruments! We specialize in all styles of music, from rock and pop to classical and even traditional fiddle and accordion, unique to our Newfoundland heritage! Our outstanding teachers provide a comfortable environment for guitar lessons, piano lessons, whatever your interest may be! Open Monday to Friday, 10am to 9pm and Saturdays 9am to 5pm, we offer flexible scheduling in our 14 well-equipped studios. There are no registration fees for lessons and no commitment is required! We also provide recitals twice yearly free of charge for all students, friends and family! Jamie Moran has been a performer and educator in various music circles since 2014. A graduate of the MUN School of Music, he has performed with many ensembles including the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and Scruncheons Percussion Ensemble among others. Jamie is also the percussionist for Cabot Power, and performs with other local artists including The Celtic Fiddlers. Besides percussion, Jamie plays many different instruments including guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, bodhran, banjo, drums, and he also sings. Jamie has traveled the province multiple times performing and leading workshops in various capacities. As an educator, Jamie is both a private and substitute music teacher. As an advocate for music, he is a board member with both the Newfoundland and Labrador Band Association and the CFM Local 820. His rate is $25 per half hour lesson.

Born in Baie Verte, NL, Steve is a guitarist and composer with over 20 years of teaching experience. He received his B.M. (Performance) from Acadia University, and his M.M. (Performance) from Memorial University. His compositions have been performed across Canada, and featured in theatre, video games, and television. Steve’s students have won Gold Medals in RCM exams, and received awards and scholarships through Kiwanis Festival performances. Each Saturday Steve teaches “The Ukulele Society” which is a drop in class where students of any level can join in the fun! He runs the Classical Guitar Ensemble, as well as the Long & McQuade Classical Guitar Camp, a summer intensive that brings teachers from across Canada to St. John's for a series of concerts and masterclasses. Steve's rate is $26 per 30 minute lesson.

Rock out with Damien Roy! Learn the fundamentals of rock, groove, improvisation and how to play together in a group. Previous playing experience is necessary.

Cost: $250 each week - per student

Led by the exceptional Damien Roy, Summer Rock Camp will run for two weeks August 4th - 8th and August 11th - 15th, students can choose from a morning or afternoon slot. Each 3 hour day will consist of rehearsals, group work, rock history and more as students prepare for a free performance at Fionn MacCool's at the end of each week. Students will also receive a camp t-shirt, a VIP pass as well as a signed copy of their band poster. Previous playing experience is necessary and students must provide their own instruments with the exception of keys and drums. Ages 14-17. Spaces are limited.

Cost: $250 for the week - per student

Led by Damien Roy, Songwriting Camp will run August 18th - 22nd and is 3 hours each day. Students will learn the tips and tricks for writing lyrics and composing their own melodies. Students can compose individually or with the group. Appropriate for ages 13-17, previous playing experience is necessary and students must provide their own instruments with the exception of drums and keys.

Cost: $264 for 6 days - per student

Led by the incomparable Steve Murphy, Classical Guitar Camp will run from June 23rd - June 28th with a free concert for friends and family on June 30th. Each 4 hour day consists of masterclasses, guest artists, ensemble work and more. All ages are welcome but previous playing experience is necessary.

Join the drumline this summer! Introducing a brand new summer class, Drumline with Tony Tucker, classes are 2 hours each and will take place Wednesdays in July with a free performance for friends and family at the end of the last week. Students will need to provide their own drumsticks and practice pads. All skill levels are welcome and this class is appropriate for ages 8+.
